My Everything by Junsu

Although I dont really get what Junsu had sung, I really admire his voice! He has put full of feeling when presenting this song. Ask me to sing and I'll turn the song out of tempo... Anyhow I enjoy listening to music and would sing too, but not in the crowd la. Done it before and not received a very positive responses.

Guan-xi @ Kuan Tai

I'd like to talk about Guan-xi in this post. This topic was an important topic in ABE last semester. I benefit and understood much of the relationship between peoples. To enhance a good friendship, A and B must work together.

Guanxi is a Chinese term, generally translated as "networks" or "connections," that is increasing discussed in Western business circles and among academics studying such aspects of community as affective networks and social capital.

Guanxi is a mechanism for dealing with social uncertainty in a complex social environment.

For Western businesspeople, the idea of guanxi is a useful reminder that trust, understanding, and personal knowledge can be vital components of economic relationships. The development of guanxi is not something that takes place instantly.

Most guanxi relationships are based on individuals' having something in common, a phenomenon called tong in Chinese. The commonalities may be the fact of having attended or graduated from the same school, having the same place of employment, working in the same industry, or coming from the same village or region. Guanxi relationships often have a strong emotional element, something easily overlooked by outsiders.

The essence of guanxi is that each relationship carries with it a set of expectations and obligations for each participant. A guanxi relationship may lead a person to feel obligated to help someone get a job or a promotion, or, conversely, may lead a person to have the expectation that a connection will help with a job search or a promotion.

Similar obligations or expectations can be held with regard to gaining entrance to a school or university, meeting with an influential official, getting access to a desired material good, or receiving (or offering) help to family and friends. Those who meet these obligations gain face and status and expand their guanxi network.

Refusing to help is a sign of inhumanity and can bring disgrace.

Thus, in addition to the instrumental and emotional components noted above, guanxi also involves the notion of honor and respect, two core values in Chinese society.

Guanxi is of interest not only to Western businesspeople, but also to Western sociologists and network analysts. Pressing research issues among Western scholars and analysts include the content of guanxi ties, what types of ties and networks tend to go together, and the relationship between guanxi networks and other sorts of ties.

Those studying online network building are particularly interested in *whether electronic media and global connections can allow the development of the kind of intricate human bonds the Chinese call guanxi.*

Some people call the Internet and the other communication technologies of the twentieth century guanxi enablers. They point out that e-mail address books and speed dial lists make it quicker, easier, and more affordable to make contacts and keep those contacts fresh. There are in fact a variety of customs and practices in the West that reflect concepts similar to those used to explain guanxi, concepts and rules that define the relationship between individuals and groups.

It provides a useful way to corral a wide variety of human connections under one term and to see that networks of relationships have a kind of life of their own.

총맞은것처럼 Just Like Being Shot - Baek Ji Young

Watched too much of Music Bank recently and begun to catch up on this song. She is 32.

Like being hit by a bullet
I really lost my sense
Because only laughter comes outI just smile, i just smile, i just

While smiling hopelesslyI asked myself just one thing
Why did we break up How could we break up How could we break up How...

In my punctured heart, our memories flow
They over flow
Even though I'm trying to hold onI block off my heart
They slip through between my fingers
Even though my heart is cold
It doesn't seem like it hurts
How can you do that?
Please heal me
My heart will break completely soon

My punctured heart
Already,my tears flow
Without me knowing
I hate being like this
I really hate it, i realy hate it, i really

You stand up and I follow behind
Aimlessly I followed
You are running away
From behind you, from behind you, I cried out

In my punctured heart, our memories flow
They over flow
Even though I'm trying to hold onI block off my heart
They slip through between my fingers
Even though my heart is cold
It doesn't seem like it hurts
How can you do that?
Please heal me
My heart will break completely soon

Like being hit by a bullet, Really
My heart hurts a lot
Although I hurt like this, eventhough i hurt like this
It's weird how i can live
How can i forget you?
I don't know how to do that, I don't know
My heart is pierced
It can't be full
It hurts me like death

I am currently very addicted in this show!!!

1 Night 2 Days (1박 2일)

Originally aired: August 5, 2007 - Present

MC: Kang Ho Dong

Cast: Eun Ji Won, Lee Su Geun, Kim C, Lee Seung Gi, MC Mong, Sang Geun (dog)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Happy_Sunday

In this segment, hosted by Kang Ho Dong, the members go on an overnight trip to various places of interest in Korea. The aim of the segment is to recommend holiday destinations to its viewers. Often the members are accompanied by a dog nicknamed "Sang Geun". His real name is Herbie but was nicknamed "Sang Geun" by Ji Sang Ryul. Sang Geun is a Great Pyrenees whose popularity grew hugely in the first half of 2008 partly due to the show. Throughout the show, there are several mini-games played to see who will eat dinner (as opposed to a simple snack), who will do the chores or work that needs to be done, and who will sleep comfortably. The segment's cast includes entertainer Eun Ji Won and comedian Lee Su Geun; recent additions include singers Kim C and Lee Seung Gi and rapper MC Mong. Former members include Kim Jong Min, Ji Sang Ryul, and Noh Hong-cheol.

Each member has a nickname which represents their character or appearance.

Kang Ho Dong is usually called "pig" (돼지) or "bear" (곰) because of his size.

MC Mong is called "wild monkey" (야생 원숭이), because of his appearance and actions.

Eun Ji Won is named "elementary student Eun" (은초딩) or "kid" (아이) because of his childish behavior or way of thinking on the show.

Lee Su Geun is named "worker" (일꾼) because he is so good at doing work like building, cooking, chopping up wood for the fire, etc.

Kim C has sometimes been known as being an "expert" (달인) at something and also as the "big brother" (큰형) because of his care for the younger cast members on the show.

Lee Seung Gi's nickname is "Huh Dang" (허당) which means a person who is just a little bit odd in his or her way of thinking or someone who doesn't quite understand something the first time something is said.

The cast members have taken various trips throughout Korea, including many nearby islands. The most notable trip to date has been to the Dokdo, controversial due to the ownership claims of both South Korea and Japan. On their 17th trip to Wando County in South Jeolla, the cast was told to live and experience the wildlife having no access to their cellphones and having to build a tent on their own with the given materials.

In June 2008, they travelled to Baekdu Mountain (백두산) which is located on the border of North Korea and China. The trip took 4 nights and 5 days, rather than 1 night and 2 days. They took the scenic route to Baekdu Mountain by taking a boat to China than taking a bus to the actual mountain rather than taking a direct flight in order to film the beautiful scenery along the way. After climbing up the stairs leading up the mountain they reached Heaven Lake (천지, 天池), one of the highest crater lakes in the world. At Heaven Lake they symbolically poured water from Liancourt Rocks (독도), the disputed easternmost island of Korea; Udo (Jeju) (우도), one of the southernmost islands of Korea; Gageodo (가거도), the westernmost island of Korea; and Baengnyeong Island (백령도), the northernmost island of the West Sea. This was to symbolize their wish for Korea to once again become one united nation just as the waters became one at Heaven Lake.

On December 27, 2008 at the 2008 KBS Entertainment Awards, all six cast members were present at the award show. The members performed "No Matter What" by Park Sang Chul.

Happy Sunday: 1 Night 2 Days took home five awards -
Best New Variety Show MC Male Award,
Best Screenwriter,
Best Popular Award,
Audience's Best Producer (Program) Award, and the
Grand Award (Daesang).[4]

In the Best Popular Award category, three out of the four nominees were from 1 Night 2 Days - Eun Ji Won, MC Mong, and Lee Seung Gi, where Lee Seung Gi won the award. The Audience's Best Producer (Program) Award was based on viewers votes through surveys and SMS.

Happy Sunday ended up with 108.3% of the votes,
and trailing behind them with 40.3% of the votes was Happy Together (Gag Concert with 33.1% of votes,
A Chat with Beauties with 12.9% of the votes and Sang Sang Plus with 5.3% of the votes).

Ttok Bbok Ki Rul Man Dul Ta

Supposed to type in Korean for the above title but not in the mood to open The Hangul program and type one hangul by one hangul... Everytime when I upload some korean wordings I do not use Ms Word... Just that sonsaeng-nim has borrowed the hangul program to me few years back and so I am using it till now.

I always wanted to try "making" korean food at home myself. Today I finally have the opportunity to make a "decent" ttok bbok ki at home! Went to buy the ingredients at Semi mart and asked the ajumma to recommend the method and ingredients to me (kamsa hamnida ajumma). Knowing that I am not an expert, she suggests to use the instant mixture for ttok bbok ki. Yeah she is right, I need not but all of the ingredients and still I got the same taste as in the restaurant. Bought ttok at rm6.50, odeng at rm 4.00 (10% halrin) and the mixture at rm 4.00 (10% halrin)... Why ttok got no halrin. Spent about rm 14 to buy the ingredients. instead can have it at ssang tung yi at rm 10 or kangsan-e at rm 18. Also asked ajumma on how to make japchae but she said the method of making is more complex than this... so next time will ask for sonsaeng-nim's help. Sonsaeng-nim, cho rul to wa chu sil ko cho?

Comment: Looked nice and decent but put too little water. And my lips burnt from eating!!! (Cannot be a interviewee in Love In Asia) Then YS took it and re-cook.

Looked nice and decent hor... Ne ne ne!!!
